Restrictions on Abortion Added to the Health Care Bill

Federal subsidies will no longer be used in insurance which covers an abortion. This was added to the health care bill by the House on Saturday. If a woman is seeking an abortion, it now must be paid out of pocket, or may be added as a rider on an insurance policy. This is being considered pro-life supporters greatest victory in six years since the ban on partial birth abortions.

  1. You have lots of facts and details that really explain your summary well. I am not familiar with the word "subsidies," but I am guessing it means funds. This is a controversial issue, but I think you put it in a very effective neutral perspective.

  2. I am pro-choice, but think that people should pay for there own mistakes. Also so many people are against it, that I am suprised that any local or fed gov would kick out money for it.
